Are Boudoir Photos a good gift?
Are you looking for the perfect gift to surprise your significant other? Boudoir photos are certainly one way to rock their world!
While we preach that boudoir empowerment sessions are good for any time of life, it’s common that the imputus for reaching out is you looking for a one of a kind gift for an upcoming birthday, anniversary, wedding, etc. Makes sense.
I’ll start with the spiciest side of using a boudoir photoshoot as an incredible gift. As tactfully as I can possibly say it.. we’ve been told that it has been the start of a very VERY sexy night. ;) We’ve even heard it has been an avenue of spicing up a relationship that has gotten a bit too cozy. Gotta love having a partner you can binge watch shows with a messy bun and oversized t-shirt nightly, but it’s important to not lose sight of the intimicy between you.
The fun part about these sessions comes with the planning. I like to think about how these sessions can be incredible gifts that give you one of the most empowering experiences possible, but also an opportunity to create a narrative about your relationship.
Part of my consultation process is figuring out who you are, who your partner is and who you guys are together. We’ll chat about everything from work, travel, hobbies, pastimes, special memories, media consumption, routines, small pleasures, etc. In all of that we’ll discover how to integrate details about your stories in image so when you’re flipping through the pages of the album you immediately know it’s more than just creating pretty pictures - it’s truly about you and your life together!
What about couples photoshoots?
Um, heck yes! I don’t know about you, but I’m all for experience based gifts. Not only is it a fun way to spend the day, creating more memories, but you get to walk away with images commemorating it! Whether it’s a couples boudoir photoshoot, a more lifestyle PG session or even an erotic couples photoshoot, you’ll have a blast, for sure!
These types of photoshoots can be pretty involved with planning so, while you can make it a surprise, I typically suggest planning it together because the results of the images will be a surprise for both of you anyway. Might as well coordinate!
It is always such an incredible gesture when a friend or loved one gifts the session itself! Most times I see a partner gifting it to their significant other, but I’ve also had daughters gift it to their mother, friends gift it to their bestie, mothers gift it to their daughter and so on.
Boudoir and beauty photoshoots are starting to be seen for the powerhouse experience that they are. So, I might be biased, but I consider this to be one of the most tangible gifts of love you can give. <3
